Bruce was educated at George Heriots School in Edinburgh, Scotland. He moved to Guernsey in 1990 and since that time has worked within the Financial Services industry in the Island.

Prior to joining Weighbridge Trust Limited in 2005 he was employed by the Royal Bank of Canada Trustees (Guernsey) Limited.

Bruce has over twelve years of practical experience, specialising in a broad range of Trust and Company issues with particular emphasis on liaising with private clients and their professional advisors on a variety of matters ensuring that detailed practical
recommendations received are implemented efficiently.

Bruce is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Institute of Chartered Secretary and Administrators (ICSA).
